With us or against us, pt. I

Most of us associate the phrase ‘you are either with us or against us’ with George W. Bush and his tendency to equate dissent with support for terrorism. As it so happens the idea that criticising the actions of the powerful is tantamount to supporting terrorism or communism (or whatever), has been around a lot longer than most of us imagine, as the image below reveals (Source: Frank Van Nuys, Americanizing the West).
